Has anyone tried the Atlantis submarine in Maui?

Aloha,

From a very sunny Toronto :)

Has anyone experienced the submarine? I am thinking of booking for 4 1/2 year old with us.

Thanks and enjoy your day.

It%26#39;s really not worth the time or money. We hear nothing but complaints about what a waste of time it was. Having said that, I have never done this so just telling you what I hear from others (tourists) who have.

Thanks for the comments. I was wondering why it wasn%26#39;t really a topic on the board.

Did it on Big Island; the anticipation far exceeded fulfillment. Rent a Kayak %26amp; Snorkel.

My mother-in-law took my 5 year old nephew back in the spring and the kid loved it. He talked about how the submarine went ';Dive! Dive!'; and the sound of the ';sonar'; for months. He was also really impressed with seeing divers out the window who waved at him from underwater. Perhaps for an adult it is less than expected, but from the eyes of a 5 year old it takes on a whole new perspective.

In a lot of ways, it seems like being a kid is a whole lot more challenging than it used to be, but on the entertainment side, I doubt even Jules Verne could have imagined....

Seems as though I recall a Big Island thread wherein typicallytropical said there were new restrictions on the Divers baiting fish to get them close to the windows; ring a bell/%26amp; would it be a biggie?

We did it ... waste of money...you can see more fish just by snorkeling on the nearby beaches...I also didn%26#39;t like that it is very tight seating...

Consider the Aquarium instead. At $21 each it%26#39;s costly, but less than the submarine, but you can stay as long as you want. For just a little more you can get a week pass and go as much as you want. Kids will love it - I promise. The huge shark/fish tank is incredible. Definately try to see them feed the fish, rays, and sharks - I want to think it%26#39;s around 11am, but call to check. We are 30 and loved it.
