Where do the locals eat?

Please suggest some reasonably prices restaurants for local Hawaiian food and or Chinese food at Waikiki or near Waikiki. Thanks.

Where do the locals eat?

Oh! And where can we get good sushi that is not too expensive?

Where do the locals eat?

For some of the best and reasonable local Hawaiian food, go to the legendary L %26amp; L BBQ (right in Waikiki, but also has locations throughout the island), Zippy%26#39;s, or Wailana Coffee House. There%26#39;s also TONS of other amazing places outside of Waikiki.

Also, go to the Ala Moana Mall. GREAT places to eat there!

For Hawaiian food, visit the Ala Moana Farmers Market.

For Chinese food, visit Fook Yuen Seafood Restaurant, or Hee Hing (both in Waikiki).

There is good dim-sum to be had at Fook Lam Chinese Restaurant in the Chinese Cultural Plaza, but if you want the authentic Hong Kong style food you%26#39;ll have to spend a bit more and visit Kirin or Royal Garden.

Cheap sushi shops litter the island. Try SushiMan.

How is the Fook Lam compared to the Legend at the Chinese Culture Plaza for dim sum?

Go to Diamond Head Market %26amp; Grill on Monsarrat between Kapiolani Park and the entrance to Diamond Head/Kapiolani Community College. It%26#39;s a slightly updated take on the classic plate lunch (green salad instead of macaroni salad), and they have the best plantation iced tea. It%26#39;s about a 20-minute walk or quick drive from Waikiki.

Fook Lam and Legend are both good. Fook Lam opens earlier in the morning. I was there in February. I think you just head to cultural plaza and see whichever one you can get in without waiting; you cannot go wrong.

Fook Lam is very similar to Legend in quality, but they charge much less than Legend. They also open earlier for dim-sum, 8:30am - 3:00pm

I used to go to Legend, but they%26#39;ve REALLY gone downhill over the last 5 years.

Try a search here for the topic titled cheap eats there all kinds of places given on that post.

try fatty restaurant, across from international market place.
