Need advice on renting a wheelchair in Maui

We are traveling in October for one week to Maui. I don%26#39;t want to take a wheelchair on the plane. Does anyone know a good resource for renting a manual wheelchair in Maui? All advice appreciated. This will be my husband%26#39;s last trip to Maui and we want him to be able to go places with us.

Maui Ocean Club where we own a timeshare just told me that Gammi Home Care (Ph: 808-877-4032) rents equipment and will deliver to the hotel. I checked their rates and found that a manual wheelchair which is what we need will cost only about $45 for one week. Their website is: gammie.com/rentals

One rental place, Scootaround, that gave me a quote said it would be $200 for 5 days plus $2.50 a day for insurance. So Gammi Home Care sounds like a great resource. They were recommended as very reliable by Maui Ocean Club.

Now I feel like my husband will be able to enjoy his last trip to Maui. Mahalo to Maui Ocean Club.

I have been trying to rent a folding mobility scooter for my husband in Maui.Scootaround was about 4X as high as we paid in Las Vegas. We wanted one that comes apart so that we can carry it in the car.

We will be leaving for Maui on the 28th.

Call Gammi Home Care (Ph: 808-877-4032) rents equipment and will deliver to the hotel. Or go to their website. They have lots of other equipment they rent. I think I saw scooters there. I know they have motorized wheelchairs. Good luck.
