Where, where to visit

I always hate this kind of question on the Spain Forum, but this is why I try to be understanding when I read. The reason I am is that sometimes I ask the same kind of question.

Here goes. My husband wants to go to Hawaii. What island/s or places would you remind as ';musts'; for the first-time visitors, which includes me as well.

Thank you for answering this...especially this question from someone who doesn%26#39;t know much about your state.

To me, Maui is a must. If you are a history type person, Oahu for Pearl Harbor.

We went in August and had NO rain at all for the 2 weeks we visited. I know that is unusual.

We went to Hawaii for the first time last year on our honeymoon. We visited Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island. We each had our favorite for different reasons. I am glad we went to Oahu as I am a history teacher and it was a must for me to see Pearl Harbor. With that said, I doubt we will ever return to Oahu. I LOVED Maui. It was my favorite. For me it was the Hawaii I had dreamed of. Beauty everywhere, yet touristy enough to buy things and have lots of attractions. My husband LOVED the Big Island. Not very touristy at all, besides maybe the big resorts. It really did seem like a different world. It was amazing to see the volcano and then take a helicopter ride over it. We are returning this Dec. and going to Maui, Big Island and Kauai. Happy Travels!
