Kapaa Area in Kauai~Kauai Coast The Beach Boy Resort

Any information on the Kapaa area of Kauai? Or about the Kauai Coast the Beach Boy Resort?

We haven%26#39;t been to Kauai in 28 years. We were there in 1978 on our honeymoon. I can%26#39;t remember much about it.

We have been to Oahu, Maui and The Big Island in the past 3 years. So now it is time to see Kauai once again.

Any tips on places to stay? best area on island? ( North, South, East or West ? ) places to check out? Good places to eat? I love the Hula Grill Barefoot Bar in Maui... You sit under thatched roof umbrellas and your feet are actually in the sand while you are sitting at your table. Is there any place like that in Kauai?

Is there much rain in October in the Kapaa area?

You are on the Maui forum, but I can tell you that the Beach Bay is no longer there. My mom use to go there every year, I believe somebody bought it out and then they had that big storm years ago and that was the end of the hotel. She sure loved it there and made a lot of friends.

The resort I am referring to is The Kauai Coast at the Beach Boy resort. I know it used to be called the Beach Boy and now they are calling it the Kauai Coast. But, I see lots of info on them as The Kauai Coast at the Beach Boy. I guess so people will know it is the same location. It is located at 520 Aleka Loop in Kapaa, right near the Coconut Marketplace. I hope for your moms sake, this is it. I know it was totally refurbished a few years back and is gorgeous.
