Vacation Rentals

I%26#39;m looking to rent a home(s) for a family group (about 15-20 people) sometime next fall and just wondering if any of you locals / experts can point me to properties that I may have missed. Do I have any other option than ';the Captian%26#39;s Retreat'; and ';Bamboo Garden House';?

We are not opposed to splitting the group, in fact, we may camp a few on the beach (campground). I spent many a weekend in college on that beach and always had a fantastic time. In fact, on our last trip back, we stayed in MB resort, and I can%26#39;t say that is was superior to sleeping in a tent on the beach.

My wife an I toured a beautiful old house called the ';Society House'; in Lanai City a couple years ago. She still talks about getting a large group togher and renting it out for an extended stay. Back then it was $350 per day. It had at least five bedrooms and a huge commercial kitchen. it%26#39;s owned by Castle %26amp; Cook, the primary owners of Lanai, beautiful location, really a classic place, and large enough for a group your size.

I found a phone number and called Castle %26amp; Cook they said that this is no longer being rented out. sorry for the false hopes, also it was called ';Social Hall'; not ';Society House';

I also spoke to someone at Castle and they said that construction workers are currently staying at ';social house.'; Maybe once the renovations are complete they%26#39;ll open it up again...
