I would call today and get a refund ASAP.
We just sailed on August 28th and had a horrible time.I have been on numerous vacations and by far this was the worst. We had so many problems that I had a personal meeting with the hotel manager (JT/ John Tompson) for over an hour to review our numerous troubles and inconveniences. Mind you this was after explaining or problems and complaints with the head of houskeeping,dining,and the assistant director of the ship.All to no evale.At this point the manager was the only one left on the ship to help us. JT listened to the 2 page list I had taken notes on detailing all of our problems. To make a very long story short JT seemed to be compassionate and agreed a reinbursment compensation was indeed deserved. He further more wrote me a personal letter apologizing for all the problems ( I can send you a copy if you like). He also said that he did not have the athourity the grant the compensation needed, but would recomend a refund to the corperate office and gave me there contact info...........well I called them the day after we returned to discuss a resolution. They at first were not very helpful(they said that I must write a letter detailing the problems and that they would respond in 4-6 weeks) at this point I wanted to resole this now and not in the future.I insisted on speaking to someone in charge and was finaly transfered to a girl named Lavette Reed. She was in charge of handling all the numurous complaints for the pride of hawaii ship. She listened to some of my numerous complaints and promissed a letter would be sent to me with in 10 days with a resolution. Here we are at day 21 and no letter,also I have Tried to contact Lavette Reed 3 times. Each time im transfered to voice mail. I have left a detailed message each time with no response at all. To make things worse the Better Buisness Burea has logged so many complaints that they have a very poor rating and are also not even members because of all the problems and hard times they give there customers. I can give more details on the numerous problems,terrible service,and lack of concern the cruise line shows.

I agree!!! Call and cancel your vaca and get a refund.
My husband and I just got back from our vacation from HELL on the Pride of Hawaii...
1. The service is POOR!!!
2. The buffet is horrible, the same food items for breakfast, lunch and dinner EVERY day.
3. The speciality restraunts are better but dont expect to be in and out. Each night we dined and one of these ';speciality restraunts'; it was a 2-2.5 hour dinner. They are understaffed and do not seem well trained. It took close to 20 minutesd each time to get greated by out waiter/waitress besides the Teppanaki restraunt.
4. Needless to say we never made it to any of the shows because we were stuck at dinner because when you try to make reservations its eaither the early bird times of 5 or 5:30, 9pm or nothing at all.
5. There is not entertainment poolside and the lounge chairs are very limited by the pool, plenty on the 2 decks above.
6. Excursions are VERY EXPENSIVE!!! But the helicopter tour is well worth the money.
7. *** THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL***
My husband woke from his sleep one night ti go to the bathroom to find himself stepping in fecal matter!!! The toilet had apparently overflowed all over our bathroom. I immediatly called the from desk, we were told that someone would be there immediatly. A half hour passed and no show from anyone, so I called the front desk again and was told that a work order was placed and that the plumber would be there before housekeeping. Well an hour later the plumber arrived to find himself gagging over the horric stench and mess in the bathroom. All the plumber did was fluch the toilet from outside the stateroom and told us that he woudl send house keeping up. Housekeeping arrived and also gagged and couldnt believe what they saw. They told us they needed to find out from their manager what to do. They came back and told us that they needed to disinfect the entire room and we were to be placed in another room for the night. We had to go pick new keys up from the desk, they were not even brought up to us. Now we move into another room and couldnt fall asleep, eventually did and slept late the next morning. We woke up and made our way back to our cabin to find the room still a mess, the balcony cabin door was left open all night with an air blower on to remove the smell, the fecal matter was removed from the floor but the toilet bowl was not clean. We went downstairs to talk to John Thomas also!!! We explained all of our problems and dilemmas with him, service, food, the situation in our room etc. He seemed like he really cared and was going to take care of the situation by giving us a credit. john Thomas said he needed to discuss it with his manager and review our statement and that we woudl be contacted by phone or letter. Well we NEVER recieved a phone call or letter, what we didi recieve was our statement early Monday morning on the day od disembarkation with a credit of $100!!! I was astonished, pissed and aggrivated. This all occured on the evening before and on the day of our anniversary. After spending $1800 dollars in five days that was the best they could have done, for the aggrivation, inconvience and misery we were put through!!!! To us that was a slap in the face, $100 was nothing compared to what we went through and was not a savings in our pocket.
So to end this review...I WILL NEVER SAIL ON ANY OF NCL FLEETS OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!!!!
I also submitted to ';Shame on You'; a local news channel who solves and gets to the bottom of things. I also am writing a letter to Joh Thomas and to Colin V. the CEO of NCL and will use the name provided by the truthhurts to compain some more!!!
One word of advice....take our opinions and cancel your cruise :)
