Choosing between Hyatt Waikiki & Sheraton Waikiki

We%26#39;ll be in Waikiki from Nov. 8 -12 travelling w/ 2 kids... Which hotel is a better choice? Will the construction be over by then for the new Walk and which hotel is more impacted by it?

Choosing between Hyatt Waikiki %26amp; Sheraton Waikiki

aloha.. I%26#39;ve just stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki for a week. The Sheraton Waikiki is a busy, busy convention hotel. There are always some conventions going on at this hotel. I%26#39;ve never stayed at the Hyatt. but I imagine that it would be quieter. They are working on the elevators at the SW, so there may be a longer wait to get to your room. There are 11 elevators, and maybe 5 are working. Both the SW and the Hyatt are far away from the Beach Walk projects. But there is an extensive renovation going on at the Royal Hawaiian shopping Center, directly in front of the SW. It won%26#39;t really affect you except for the re-formatted temporary walkways thru the RHS Center and onto Kalakaua Avenue.

If you don%26#39;t mind the constant hustle, the SW is ok.
