Taxi fare to Premium Shopping Outlet

We are staying at the Ohana East and want to shop at this Shopping outlet. I have looked on the bus website but am a little confused. Do I have to change buses? Would it be easier to get a cab and how much woul this be?

Thanks

Taxi fare to Premium Shopping Outlet

If you go to the outlets website there is a link to the trolley and schedule for pickup sights and times in Waikiki. From their map they are quite aways from Waikiki and would be rather expensive by cab as it%26#39;s around $30 from the airport to Waikiki.

hulajake is right. It would be quite expensive to take a cab, but I know companies run shuttles out there.

You can go to the bus website %26amp; send them an e-mail %26amp; ask how to get from Waikiki to Waikele Premium Outlets %26amp; return. I think there is a transfer station in Waipahu where you would need to transfer. Probably close to 2 hours by bus one way.

It would be about $40-$50 one way by cab. (45 minutes - one hour)

You can take a trolley tour that includes Waikele Premium Outlets for $22.

If you plan to rent a car %26amp; tour the island, Waikele Premium Outlets is only a couple of miles from where H-1 and H-2 intersect.

To be quite honest, you are probably better off going to Ala Moana Shopping Center just across the bridge from Waikiki. Unless you stop at the Outlets as part of a driving tour when you will be in the area anyway, they are not worth spending an hour or more to %26amp; from the outlets plus the cost to get there and back.

I live in Mililani, only five miles from the outlets, and rarely go there.

Check out ';The Bus'; for the schedules. You can do it on the city bus if you don%26#39;t mind the ride there and back. It%26#39;s $2. each way. You must transfer.

I got a taxi from Ala Moana to Waikele outlets, and i think it cost around $45 one way, so it would be more if you were taking a taxi from Waikiki. And to be honest with you I was dissappointed when I got there. I didn%26#39;t think that it was worth the $90 cab fare that we paid - there weren%26#39;t that many shops there and I purchased a lot more at Ala Moana. What I did purchase, I could have bought back at the shopping centre or waiki. On the other hand, I%26#39;ve heard lots of people love Waikele. I am going back to Hawaii in a few months, and I won%26#39;t be going back to Waikele.

If you plan to go, just be a little more organised that we were and try and get a bus.

Thanks everyone for you helpful input. I think I will ex the taxi and will probably take a trolley tour. I will give it a go because the range of shops there looks great and we would like to snare a bargain.

Thanks again.

aloha... You could take theBUS... take the #42 along Kuhio Avenue and get off at the Waipahu Transit Center, then go across the street and catch the #433 Waikele. (It%26#39;s a long ride to the Waipahu TC - over a hour) Note that the #42 only runs once a hour, and the #433 runs twice a hour... and their schedules are not co-ordinated.. you will have to wait for either bus, probably both. Note the trip will take you at least 1.5 hrs. (each way), including wait time for either/both buses.

TheBUS fare is $2, ask for a transfer when you get on the #42 bus.

At Waikele, there are those trolleys, shuttles which can take you from Waikiki to Waikele. You could ask if they will return you to Waikiki.. cost maybe $10?)

I went there last year, and this year, and frankly, i couldn%26#39;t find any great deals. You could check out he K-Mart there tho.
