Saw last night that rain and small flooding has occurred. How bad is it???

weather channel was talking about and sounded if current, must have been about the past and how winds hit mtns and lift dropping rain. That is why I asked but unable to get back and when did forum was down. Glad it isn%26#39;t so

The weather channel does that kind of thing a lot. One reason to make sure folks never use them for forecasting in Hawaii. You%26#39;d think it rained 365 days a year if you did. They are horrible at forecasting the microclimates of Hawaii.

Totally agree that the weather channel shows kauai is inundated with rain nearly every day of the week.

You might want to search : garden island newspaper, and click on the weather button on the left of the page. Much more accurate forcasting.

Yesterday, it was raining up north, but only had early morning rain here in the south, stopped about 8 am.....later the skies were blue, and the day beautiful.

There were flash flood warnings until 1pm, and perhaps deserved up north, but no problems in poipu.

I guess that is why we always stayed in the south and drove up north when it was sunny there.
