Where to stay for Honeymoon in Hawaii

Hi

I am from the UK and looking to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I am looking for some advice/ideas for 5* hotels to make this a special holiday.

My initial thoughts are the Halekulani or the Kahala resort in Honlulu but would wlecome other suggestions on hotels/islands

Have heard very good and bad reports about both and I would like to ensure that we get somewhere which will be memorable (in a good way)

Where to stay for Honeymoon in Hawaii

What time of year would you be visiting? (On most islands the north area tend to be rainy and quite cool in the winters and south areas a bit hot in the summers.)

If you would consider islands other than Oahu, you might look at:

Maui -- Four Seasons

Big Island of Hawaii -- Mauna Lani, Four Seasons, Kona Village

Lanai and Molokai also have lovely hotels, but there isn%26#39;t as much to do on those islands outside of the resorts.

I%26#39;d say Four Seasons Maui too.

I have stopped at Waikiki before at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider about 9 years ago and loved it. I was wondering how the Halekulani and Kahala.

I do actually like the sound of Maui and will take a look at the four seasons

Okay - my thoughts . . . .if I were honeymooning during the summer season, I would head to the Northshore of Kauai . . . check out the Princeville Resort. Might be just what you are looking for . . . the scenery is drop dead gorgeous and the beaches are incredible then for swimming and snorkeling. Just a thought - good luck and congrats to you! :)
