Have just started planning a very long trip back home to Australia, which will include Hawaii. At this stage I am looking to spending time on Oahu and Maui. Having never been before, I was hoping to get an indication of who busy it would be around Sept and Oct. Would the hotels be full? Long waits for restaurants and crowded beaches?
Am planning on staying at Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach in Oahu (and hopefully a few days on the North Shore). Not sure whereabouts for Maui yet.
Is it busy in Sep/Oct
october and late september are about the slowest periods of the year, however can get busy if you hit a convention or japanese holiday. You will get more adults than families so beaches will be less busy.
