FInding a honeymoon hotel or B&B in Kauai

We will be marrying in Maui in June 2007. We are still undecided as to whether we should stay at a resort or bed and breakfast in Kauai.

Our travel agent offered Sheraton, Kauai Marriot (near the airport) and Hilton (formerly Radisson).

1) Do you think the Radisson/Hilton will be totally renovated by summer 2007?

2) Are there any good views of the ocean considering the layout shown in ';Maui Revealed'; book at the Hilton?

3) Do you advise getting a oceanview and hope to get an upgrade to deluxe oceanview?

4) What B%26amp;B would you recommend in Kauai?

5) What about Kauai Coast Resort?

6) Which hotels offer the best restaurants for seafood and steak?

Mahalo!

If you are planning on being in Kauai in June, I would seriously consider staying on the Northshore . . . it%26#39;s not only a gorgeous setting, but the water is just perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Lots of places to choose from - from the stunning Princeville to all kinds of condos, cottages, and I believe a few B%26amp;B%26#39;s. Just something that I would consider if I were honeymooning during the summer time. :)

The Coast Resort at the Beachboy would actually be a great choice. If you%26#39;re not looking for a luxury resort where you can be pampered (like a lot of honeymooners), you should be very happy there. It%26#39;s centrally located on the island and you%26#39;ll have a condo with much more room than a hotel will offer. It also has one of the best restaurants on the island - the Hukilau Lanai.

The Hilton would be a decent choice as well, but will give you a pretty small hotel-type room.

Both places have great ocean views, but the beach (like many on the east side) will range from just ok to unswimmable.

Have fun deciding!
