waikoloa honu and gecko condos

has anyone heard of these condos and what are your opinions on ti? We are staying there for christmas this year and am not sure what it is like. There is very little on the internet on these condos.

I used to live in the area and I never heard of them.. you should know this is a suburban village about 8 miles from the nearest beach and is a retirement area. There is one very good market, a gas station 2 bars and a tiny drug store........ dont expect a resort setting or ambiance

Most of the workers at the Hotels live here. and it can get rather windy in december..... we called it '; Waik-a-blow-a';

Being in the business dealing with condos and condo laws, I can assure you there certainly are no condo complexes by those names, at least not what you would describe as condos. There used to be a loophole in the subdivision laws here and people were able to subdivide one lot into two lots by the condo laws (CPR) even though they were not legally subdividable by the zoning laws. Therefore, there are several homes that are legally condos and I am sure the mentioned two are just like those. Make sure you know what you are getting when you rent a ';condo'; like that.

Thanks for your info on this condo. The address is 68- 3712 ka uhiwai st. Waikaloa. And you are saying this is nowhere near the beach? I was told we would be able to walk there. We have three young kids(11,10 %26amp; 7) and this isn%26#39;t sounding that great for us. Any more info would be appreciated

You ae being had. You can%26#39;t even walk to the village center from there. You will be up in Waikoloa Village, off Paniolo Avenue, at least eight miles from the nearest beach. Welcome to scamworld. No wonder I advocate renting from reputable property management companies.

Thanks for your help I will try to get my travel agent to rebook a different accomodation but this close to christmas will be hard.

well we are now out of the honu and gecko condos and in the white sand village. Hopefully this will be a great holiday. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry to take so long in answering your post. I tried your referal and there was no answer. I did not have a chance to call back as my travel agent handled everything else.
