Looking for hotels in the same area as the Hyatt and sheraton that are comparable if not a bit cheaper?

Try the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It is next door to the Sheraton. We wouldn%26#39;t stay anywhere else...it is quite charming and probably cheaper too...we will be there in January...see you there?

I agree that the KBH is great. Have stayed there 3 times. Many say the place is dated which it is but the staff is so great there. But when we%26#39;re there we don%26#39;t spend much more time than we have too. Cuts into our snorkeling time. lol Give me good service and a shower and a bed and I%26#39;m happy. I have heard the Maui wing is a bit newer in looks. And I think you%26#39;ll find it quite a bit cheaper than the Sheraton.

Yes the Maui wing is quite nice. We found it to be VERY comfortable. The proximity to Black Rock was great. We snorkeled every morning before breakfast (included in our hotel package).

we will be spending one night at KBH before heading to a condo for the week. based on other recommendations, i requested the Kauai wing. is that nice?

Yes, it is the Molokai wing that has not as yet been remodeled.

Bob, have you looked into Priceline? Check for biddingfortravel to get help about how to obtain Sheraton (or equivalent star resort) at much less money. Occasionally people might get the Hyatt instead but lately it seems Sheraton has accepted those bids.

Why noy rent a condo from an owner. Many can be found at vrbo.com. We stay at the Whaler and use this comdo, it%26#39;s great. The owners are wonderfull too.
